Yesterday I had the privilege of visiting the Assembly Chambers with Assemblyman (and Capitol historian) Ken Cooley. Cooley, who first arrived as Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Lou Papan in the late 1970s, played a critical role in the restoration of the Capitol in the early 1980s. In 2012, he was elected to the State Assembly, and is currently serving his first term.
